Hi!

I have some questions about your arp as i'm going to make one this summer.

You used a laser pointer instead of a laser module. I saw hobley's harp and he recommends a module with TTL modulation.

How do you do to control your pointer? Removing batteries and conecting the '+' to digital out in arduino and the '-' to ground?

Where did you buy yours?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings.

Hello
Which software you use To play notes since your computer?
Thanks :)

I am using Fruity Loops.
But the arduino will send the midi signal to any software you like.
In fact you dont even need a computer, you can plug the midi cord directly to a keyboard midi in and it will play that as well without any need for a computer with software.

I wonder if this is a function of voltage or resistance of the sensor that triggers the note, and why you do not use a photo diode (faster)?

@ 唐文彥,
"hello, sir. How to connect between midi jack and pc? thanks very much."

You will NOT connect midi jack to PC.
You dont need a PC for this to work.
Arduino will control everything like a computer.
The midi jack will be conected to a midi keyboard (or midi module).

Oh..I realize what you meant. Thanks very much. But I saw you use an FL Studio soft, so whether it could be connect to pc making use with FL Studio!? and what kinds of line or setting could be reach the goal?

Yes, I did use FL Studio(FRUITY LOOPS). But again: using a computer is optional.

You can connect the Laser Harp to the computer using the midi out conected to a midi interface to computer.

In my case I used a M-AUDIO FAST TRACK PRO:

But any midi interface that conects to a computer will work.

Again: this is optional, you dont need a computer, but it is a lot of fun to use it with FL STUDIO!
